Domestic Violence Advocate (Safe House Facilities Manager)

This position is responsible for the overall administrative and operational management of the Safe House. Key responsibilities include overseeing facility safety and cleanliness, managing budgets and expenditures, coordinating repairs and maintenance, providing direct services to clients, and maintaining documentation.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee operational aspects of the Safe House to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Review and produce statistical program reports regularly.
  • Coordinate purchases and manage budgets.
  • Schedule repairs and maintenance, utilizing volunteers or staff as needed.
  • Ensure maintenance of agency vehicles and proper documentation of appliances and equipment.
  • Manage food budgets, donations, and purchase approvals.
  • Provide hotline coverage and direct client services when necessary.
  • Hold weekly house meetings with clients and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills and experience with relevant software.
  • Ability to work accurately, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and staff.
  • Knowledge of community resources is highly desirable.
