Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join the Facilities Team at the National Treatment Centre (NTC). The role covers a range of domestic services across clinical and non-clinical departments, ensuring cleanliness, infection control and adherence to health and safety standards.

You will report to Facilities Supervisors and may be asked to support work at Raigmore Hospital. Full training will be provided and flexibility is required for a Monday–Sunday pattern, 08:00–16:00.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of domestic services within Clinical and non-Clinical Departments at the National Treatment Centre (NTC).
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, Health & Safety, infection control, and cleaning specifications.
• Report to Facilities Supervisors for the NTC and be prepared to work at Raigmore Hospital when required.

You will be responsible for providing a range of domestic services within Clinical / non Clinical Departments throughout the NTC ensuring compliance with quality standards, Health & Safety, control of infection, and adhering to the National Cleaning Services Specification and other requirements as specified by the Facilities Management Team.
The post holder will report to the Facilities Supervisors for the National Treatment Centre and will have day to day responsibility to ensure that all cleaning standards, procedures & process are followed.
There maybe occasions where you could be asked to work in the Raigmore Hospital site.
Previous experience desirable although full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
You will need to be flexible, committed and have a positive attitude to work.
The working pattern will be Monday – Sunday 0800-1600
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
