NHS 24 is recruiting a Clinical Supervisor based in Inverness to deliver high-quality telephone triage and provide real-time clinical support.
You will be an adult nurse registered with the NMC, with extensive post-registration experience across acute or primary care, and strong clinical decision-making.

In this role, you’ll use your expertise to deliver high-quality clinical supervision within our telehealth service, supporting colleagues and helping ensure safe, person‑centred care for patients. As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele‑health and tele‑care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NHS 24 is a patient‑focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services.
Our Regional Centres are located at Aberdeen, Cardonald, Clydebank, Dundee and South Queensferry, as well as our local centres. This role will be based in our Inverness Local Centre and will be available on a hybrid basis within 3-6 months of completed training.
NHS 24 offers a total reward package, with a permanent contract on Band 6 £43,231 - £52,679* (pro rata for part‑time hours). Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
Competitive salary enhancements for working unsocial hours are in addition to the above basic starting salary of £43,231, this means that the following hourly rates would be applicable -
As NHS 24 is predominately an out‑of‑hours employer, this means that actual earnings will include payments made for working evenings, nights, weekend shifts and public holidays.
As an example, Clinical Supervisors, on a starting salary of £43,231 working 36, 30, or 24 hours rotas with 5 out of 8 weekends, could expect to receive estimated earning as follows -
