Bay Paws Pet Resort in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Doggy Daycare Lead to supervise and mentor the daycare team while ensuring safe, engaging care for our canine guests. This role blends hands-on dog care with administrative leadership and cross-department collaboration.

You will evaluate dogs, coach staff, and maintain high sanitization and safety standards in a fast-paced resort environment. Growth opportunities are available within the company.

Qualifications

• You have solid, proven experience working in a dog daycare, boarding facility, or veterinary environment.
• You speak fluent "dog" and have a deep understanding of canine body language and pack dynamics.
• You possess previous supervisory or team lead experience (or are a senior attendant ready to step up).
• You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and can maintain a calm, confident presence in a fast-paced environment.
• You enjoy thinking outside the box to solve daily operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support and Coach the Team: Guide and train Pet Care Attendants, giving honest feedback and helping them reach their own professional goals.
• Evaluate and Custom-Fit Care: Evaluate dogs and determine best fit: large pack play, Enrichment Program, or a custom mix.
• Manage Group Dynamics: Manage playgroups, monitor behaviors, and make real-time safety decisions.
• Collaborate Across Departments: Collaborate with Boarding, Front Desk, and Enrichment Leads to run the resort as a unified team.
• Enforce Cleanliness: Enforce cleanliness and safety standards across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

As our Daycare Lead, you are the leader of the pack, balancing hands-on dog care with administrative and team leadership:

• Support and Coach the Team: Guide and train Pet Care Attendants, giving honest feedback and helping them reach their own professional goals.
• Evaluate and Custom-Fit Care: Conduct temperament evaluations for new dogs. You will use your behavioral expertise to determine if a pet is best suited for large pack play, our specialized Enrichment Program, or a custom mix of both.
• Manage Group Dynamics: Monitor playgroups, manage complex behaviors, and make real-time decisions to ensure a safe, balanced, and fun environment.
• Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with our Boarding, Front Desk, and Enrichment Leads to keep the resort running seamlessly as one unified team.
• Enforce Cleanliness: Keep our facility pristine by holding the team accountable to our high sanitization and safety standards.
