Job summary

Pet Paradise is seeking a Playtime Coordinator for our Wilmington resort location. You will organize daytime play groups and supervise dogs to ensure safe, enjoyable play sessions for pets and their families.

Starting at $13.00/hour with a $0.50 increase after 6 months and an additional $0.50 raise on the annual anniversary date, the role includes growth through the Unleashed Leadership Academy, grooming and dog training scholarships, and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• True passion for working with animals.
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions.
• Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push and grasp.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

• Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas (play-yard and pool).
• Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and spread attention and play among all dogs in playgroup.
• Minimizing stress levels of all dogs in the playgroup and handling aggressive or unusual behaviors.
• Controlling levels of play by following procedures and instructions provided by management and utilizing proper dog handling techniques.
• Assisting the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.
