Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of professional grooming experience.
• Knowledge of coat types and breed-appropriate cuts.
• Proficiency with clippers, shears, and grooming tools.
• Strong, safe handling skills and awareness of dog stress signals.
• Clear, respectful communication with pet parents and team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift dogs up to 80+ lbs.
• Weekend and some holiday availability.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to animal welfare and cleanliness.
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for dogs.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-service grooming: bathing, brushing, haircuts, nails, ears, and hygiene care.

The Dog Stop Savannah is a locally owned dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility serving Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, and the surrounding Coastal Georgia area. We give dogs real exercise, attention, and care instead of simple kennel stays. Our services include supervised play-based daycare, overnight boarding with consistent care, full-service grooming, training, and retail. What You'll Do

• Provide full-service grooming: bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and hygiene care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Assess each dog's coat and grooming needs, and consult with pet parents on services and options
• Provide low-stress grooming, monitoring each dog's comfort and behavior throughout
• Handle scheduled appointments and walk-in services
• Identify and report any health concerns (skin, ears, lumps, etc.) to pet parents and staff
• Collaborate with daycare and boarding staff to ensure a positive experience for every dog
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming area and equipment
