Top Dog Groomerie & Boutique is now accepting applications for our St. James, New York location.

Position: Dog Groomer/Stylist

We are seeking an Experienced, Enthusiastic, Energetic, Dog-loving Stylist/Groomer to work 3-5 days a week in our shop. The Stylist/Groomer will collaborate with pet parents to provide styling services that keep pets healthy, happy, and looking great.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional styling experience is a plus.
• Experience working with dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Knowledge of breed-specific standard cuts.
• Proficiency with clippers and scissors.
• Reliable, flexible, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Must speak and understand English and be able to navigate a computer system.
• Ability to lift safely up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional customer service.
2. Groom and style pets according to owner instructions.
3. Perform brushing, specific shaves, cuts, or trims.
4. Add finishing touches such as ribbons, bows, bandanas, collars, etc.
5. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workspace.
6. Recommend products and services to pet owners.

Additional Information:

• Must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday.
• Compensation based on experience and skills.
• Ideal candidate is a reliable team player, quick learner, self-starter, upbeat, and passionate about dogs. Cat grooming skills are a plus.
