We are looking to add a Professional Groomer to our team at Pet Nation Lodge!

Core Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

1. Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.
2. Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears.
3. Accommodating special requests from pet owners.
4. Ensuring the safety of all pets during grooming.
5. Cleaning work areas regularly.
6. Recommending suitable products to pet owners.
7. Answering client questions with a friendly attitude.
8. Keeping the receptionist informed about pets ready for pick-up.
9. Supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Destination Pet.

Requirements:

• Professional grooming experience is required.
• Maintaining a professional manner at all times.
• Ability to work under pressure while following proper procedures.
• Strong time management, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to operate a phone, computer, and learn facility software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with animal behavior, body language, and hair textures.
• Must be a pet enthusiast – pets are part of our family!

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, and lifting over 50 lbs during bathing.
• Ability to work in environments with disinfectants, animal hair/fecal matter, and temperature variations, and getting wet.

Pay:

You can choose to:

1. Start at an hourly wage for 60 days before transitioning to commission-based pay, or
2. Be hired directly on at 50% commission (or 40% if working with a bather, allowing more grooming opportunities).

Commission rates include 30% on basic baths, if applicable.
