Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling fur for various breeds of dogs.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of dogs during grooming sessions through proper handling techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with dog owners about their dog's grooming needs and any concerns observed during the grooming process.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for dogs.
• Handle dogs with care, utilizing skills in animal restraint when necessary to ensure safety for both the groomer and the dog.

Experience

• 4+ years’ experience in pet grooming is required.
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques is beneficial for managing pets during grooming sessions as well as positive reinforcement methods.
• Experience in customer service is essential to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or equipment is necessary.
• Must be comfortable working solo and with large dogs.
