The Barker Lounge in Charleston, SC is seeking multiple salaried Senior Managers. You will learn operations from the ground up, starting in the yards with the dogs and progressing through back-end to front-desk duties over 4–6 months.

Training includes a week in Charlotte with a General Manager. After full training, pay increases to $23/hr. This hybrid role involves front, back, and group responsibilities and interaction with customers.

• Must pass Barker Lounge certifications to be eligible for pay increase.

Job description

The Barker Lounge located at 2337 Savannah Hwy, Charleston, SC is looking for multiple salaried Senior Managers. You would learn our operations from the ground up. You would begin training in the yards with the dogs to learn about group management, health and behavior. Once you have passed our course work, you would then learn to manage the Back End. Our Back End coordinates dog groups, manages shift staff, and ensures that all dogs are cared for properly. Once the Back End is learned, you would then learn to front manage and interact with our customers on a daily basis. This process would take 4-6 months to fully transition to working our front desk. Training would also require a week spent in Charlotte training with one of our General Managers at our discretion. Once you are fully trained in the back and up at the front desk, we would raise your pay to $23/hr. We are looking for dynamic individuals who have a passion for pet care, and a desire to work for The Barker Lounge long term. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged. We are looking for team members who are willing to do all types of work in the building. This is truly a hybrid position where you will work where you are needed (front, back and group!).
