Responsibilities

• Supervise dogs in open play and ensure safe, appropriate interactions.
• Monitor dog behavior and body language to prevent conflicts and maintain a positive play environment.
• Follow open-play safety protocols and intervene to redirect behavior.
• Maintain safe dog-to-dog interactions and playgroup management.
• Immediately report injuries, incidents, or concerns to management.
• Provide attention, exercise, and engagement; assist with rest breaks and rotation.
• Monitor dogs for illness, stress, or discomfort; support enrichment activities.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary play environment with routine cleaning and disinfection.
• Assist with front desk tasks and help with drop-off/pick-up as needed.
• Represent Dogtopia’s brand values through friendly interactions.
• Collaborate with teammates and participate in ongoing safety training.

Position OverviewThe Canine Coach plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of the dogs in our care. Canine Coaches supervise open play, maintain a clean and safe play environment, and support the overall experience for both dogs and pet parents.This position requires individuals who are energetic, responsible, and passionate about dogs.
