Wagmore Playcare by the SPCA of Brevard is looking for dependable, attentive people to join our dog daycare team! Our daycare supports the SPCA's lifesaving mission while providing dogs with a safe, enriching place to play and socialize.

As a Day Care Attendant, you'll help create positive experiences for the dogs in our care and the people who love them. This is an active, hands-on position that combines supervising dogs, providing daily care, cleaning, and communicating with clients and coworkers.

What you'll do

• Supervise dog playgroups, monitor body language, and help prevent unsafe or overly rough play.
• Encourage positive interactions and provide enrichment suited to each dog's needs.
• Keep play areas, quiet areas, and shared spaces clean, including removing waste and sanitizing.
• Provide food, fresh water, and basic care, including assistance with bathing, brushing, and nail trimming as needed.
• Recognize and promptly report signs of illness, injury, stress, or changes in behavior to management.
• Maintain accurate records of dogs’ activities, behavior, and care.
• Welcome clients, answer calls and emails, and share updates about their dogs.
• Work closely with the team to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming facility.

Schedule and pay

This is a full-time position working four 10-hour days per week. Each workday includes an additional unpaid meal break. Starting pay is $15 per hour, with relevant experience considered when determining starting pay.
