Job summary

Digs Dog Care Millstone Township is looking for a Canine Caretaker to care for overnight guests, walk and feed dogs, and maintain clean suites. You’ll record how dogs eat, go to the bathroom, and how they feel, while greeting clients during check-in and check-out.

No prior dog experience is required as training is provided; you must be at least 16, stay organized, and be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• No prior dog experience required; training provided.
• Stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to notes on feeding and health.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of all breeds and sizes.
• Prepare and serve meals following owner instructions.
• Record feeding, bathroom, and health notes accurately.
• Follow individual pet schedules, including housebreaking puppies and dogs with medical needs.
• Clean and sanitize pet suites and facility areas.
• Remove pet waste following company guidelines.
• Handle daily housekeeping such as garbage, dishes, and laundry.
• Check dogs in and out, greeting clients.
• Complete check-in and check-out exams.
• Pitch in with other duties as needed.
