Job summary

Pawz Away Pet Care in Pottsville, PA seeks a part-time Boarding Pet Care Team Member to care for boarding dogs on weekends and holidays. This role involves hands-on care, exercise, meals, and safety.

You’ll work mornings and evenings, with shifts like 6:30 AM–1:00 PM and 3:00 PM–8:30 PM. Prior dog handling experience is a plus, but reliability and a strong work ethic matter most. Starting pay is $12 per hour plus tips.

Pawz Away Pet Care is looking for a dependable, hardworking Boarding Pet Care Team Member to help care for our boarding guests on weekends and holidays.

What You’ll Do

• Provide hands-on care for our boarding guests
• Take dogs outside for potty breaks, playtime and exercise
• Prepare and serve meals according to each dog’s care instructions
• Administer medications as directed
• Clean and maintain boarding suites and pet care areas
• Help keep our guests comfortable, happy and safe
• Provide plenty of individual attention and TLC

Schedule & Availability

This position is primarily for weekends and holidays and is a great opportunity for someone looking for part-time hours.

Typical shifts include:

• Morning: 6:30 AM–1:00 PM
• Evening: 3:00 PM–8:30 PM

Because our boarding guests need care every day, applicants must be willing to work weekends and some holidays, including during our busier holiday boarding periods.

Pay

Starting at $12/hour + tips

Age Requirements

High school students are welcome to apply. Because this position involves caring for animals and working with a level of independence, we are looking for applicants who are responsible, dependable and mature for their age.
