Dog Ads Lead for Dog Rescue - Volunteer (unpaid)

Job Name: Dog Ads Lead for Dog Rescue - Volunteer (unpaid)
Job City - Spokane, WA
Job Location - Spokane, WA
Location: Fully Remote
Hours Required: 8 Hours/week
Compensation: Volunteer (unpaid)

Role Mission: Lead a creative team in crafting compelling, visually engaging ads that showcase adoptable dogs, driving awareness, connection, and increased adoption opportunities for the Rescue.

Summary: The Dog Ads Squad Lead will oversee a team responsible for creating impactful and visually compelling ads that highlight adoptable dogs and increase their visibility. This role ensures that the team collaborates effectively to craft engaging content that resonates with potential adopters, showcases each dog's unique personality, and aligns with the Rescue's mission and branding. The Dog Ads Squad Lead will guide the team in developing strategies to maximize the reach and effectiveness of these ads, ultimately driving higher adoption rates and fostering a deeper connection between the Rescue and the community.

Job Description:

The Dog Ads Squad Lead is responsible for overseeing the creation of engaging ads that effectively showcase the Rescue's adoptable dogs, with a focus on using accurate, up-to-date content and data. They act as the authority for dog-related information, ensuring that all raw foster content—such as photos, videos, and behavioral notes—is gathered regularly, with weekly updates when possible. They work closely with team leaders to approve any adoption-limiting factors, such as specific dog requirements, behavior or training notes, or health issues like medications or allergies. By staying informed on each dog's status, from intake to adoption, the Dog Ads Squad Lead ensures that every ad reflects the most current and transparent information. Special attention is given to long-term residents or dogs with medical or behavioral holds, allowing the team to brainstorm creative ways to showcase these dogs and increase their chances of finding homes.

In addition to managing the content, the Dog Ads Squad Lead plays a crucial role in developing and approving the final ads. They prioritize which dogs are advertised, collaborate with creatives (such as photographers, copywriters, and videographers) to craft well-marketed, eye-catching ads, and oversee the process from start to finish. They are responsible for signing off on all ads before they go live, ensuring that the information presented is complete, transparent, and aligned with the Rescue's branding and messaging. The Dog Ads Squad Lead also initiates and terminates ads in different geographical markets, monitoring platform analytics to gauge ad performance and adjusting strategies accordingly. Regular collaboration with other marketing leads is key, as the Dog Ads Squad Lead consistently works to explore additional adoption platforms, refine ad strategies, and ensure that each dog is presented in the most compelling way possible.
