Job summary

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is seeking an Operations Officer to support delivery and development of its programme across a portfolio of Licensed Organisations. You will work with senior leaders to ensure high-quality DofE access, especially for marginalised young people, while delivering training and support to staff and volunteers.

This is a field-based role requiring proximity to Central London; travel is expected, and some meetings, training and events may occur outside standard hours.

Qualifications

• Experience building strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to influence others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Good IT skills, including MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
• Proactive, solution-focused mindset with data-driven decision support.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with Licensed Organisations.
• Provide day-to-day support, guidance and training to DofE staff and volunteers.
• Develop and implement plans to help organisations grow and improve their DofE provision.
• Monitor performance, participation and targets using DofE systems and reporting tools.
• Conduct licence reviews and support licensing of new organisations.
• Encourage participation from young people facing marginalisation.
• Attend and deliver meetings, training and presentations online and in person.
• Support planning and delivery of regional and national DofE events.
• Contribute to projects and working groups across the organisation.
• Support funding applications and project reporting as required.
• Help deliver the DofE Strategy and England Business Plan.
