Job summary

University Health Partners of Hawai'i is seeking a Hawaii Keiki Health Technician to coordinate school health tasks, screenings and health education in partnership with HIDOE guidelines.

Under minimal supervision, you will support a Nurse Practitioner in virtual or in-person visits, manage data collection and disease surveillance, and assist with health room coverage as requested. The position offers $22.25/hour, generous paid breaks aligned with the school calendar, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in a health related field or equivalent.
• Current CPR and First Aid (or BLS) certification obtained.
• Experience working in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate school-wide health screenings with community partners.
• Support health and wellness promotion and data collection.
• Enter data and assist with health education as requested.
• Facilitate virtual or in-person visits with a HK Nurse Practitioner and cover health rooms per HIDOE protocol as needed.

Job description

Under minimal supervision, the Hawaii Keiki (HK) Health Technician is responsible for coordinated school health tasks including; coordinating school wide screenings with community partners, health and wellness promotion, data collection and disease surveillance, coverage of the health needs of students, data entry and health education as requested. Will facilitate virtual and/or in person visits with a HK Nurse Practitioner (APRN). May cover school health rooms following Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) protocol as requested and approved by HK supervisor and school administration.

Pay rate:$22.25 per hour

Paid leave: Spring, fall and winter breaks according to the school calendar

**This position is not scheduled to work during the summer break.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training/Experience

Minimum

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in a health related field or equivalent job related work experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or current BLS Certification
• Experience working in a clinical setting.

Knowledge/Skills

Minimum

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
