Job summary

Kalman & Company is seeking an experienced Safety and Occupational Health Representative to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and distribution center operations. The role focuses on enforcing safety programs, training, inspections, and hazard controls to prevent injuries and disruptions.

The position requires at least three years of safety and occupational health experience, knowledge of OSHA requirements, and the ability to coordinate corrective actions and required training.

Qualifications

• At least three years of safety and occupational health experience in the past five years.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety-management practices applicable to warehouse, industrial, transportation, and material-handling operations.
• Experience conducting inspections, identifying hazards, delivering training, documenting findings, and tracking corrective actions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, management, and Government safety personnel.
• Strong documentation, organization, incident-response, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and enforce the Safety and Occupational Health Plan.
• Perform safety surveillance, workplace inspections, job-hazard analysis, and compliance assessments across operations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate controls, corrective actions, and follow-up inspections.
• Ensure required SOH training for new employees and refresher training for all staff.
• Maintain safety records for Government review and support Government inspections.
