Job summary

SandTech Solutions seeks a senior IT systems professional to administer and optimize large-scale DoD-aligned computer systems at the National Military Command Center. You will manage VMware environments, servers, and storage, ensuring security compliance and high availability.

Candidates must have extensive Windows/Linux experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to design and execute complex migrations with minimal downtime in a mission-critical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to computer science, IT, or engineering fields.
• Experience with large enterprise IT environments and DoD-like security requirements.
• Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization stacks and storage architectures.
• Knowledge of Windows server, Linux systems, and AD/GPO administration.
• Strong troubleshooting, systems integration, and migration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize large-scale computer systems in a DoD/military environment.
• Plan and execute server migrations, hardware/software upgrades, and capacity expansions.
• Ensure security compliance (DISA STIGs) and incident management.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and engineering teams to maintain mission readiness.
