Job summary

AGE Solutions is seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer – Basic to support a DoD agency’s global network infrastructure. You will install, configure, test, and troubleshoot enterprise routers, switches, and telecom equipment while ensuring secure voice, data, and video communications across DISN networks.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, DoD-related certifications, and citizenship with top-secret or equivalent clearance.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of relevant network engineering experience.
• Experience in telecommunications network design and management.
• Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Top Secret clearance or Secret clearance with favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.
• DoD 8570/8140: IAT Level II baseline certification such as Secruty+CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH.
• Candidates must be able to work daily from customer/contractor facilities and be within commuting distance of listed locations.
• Travel up to ~50% may be required (CONUS/OCONUS).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot enterprise network routers, switches, and telecommunications equipment.
• Support WAN and LAN connectivity across agency facilities and DISN-connected networks.
• Assist with network engineering designs, equipment installation plans, and implementation activities.
• Support IPv4/IPv6 addressing, routing, switching, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Conduct site surveys and document infrastructure requirements for new installations and upgrades.
• Support installation, activation, testing, and troubleshooting of telecommunications circuits.
• Plan and implement network refreshes.
• Support on call and 24x7 response requirements as part of the network team.
• Support and sometimes lead technology refreshes, equipment replacements, and network modernization projects.
• Perform network performance testing and validate operational functionality.
• Support Tier III engineering, troubleshooting, and break-fix activities.
• Support network configuration management and implementation of approved engineering changes.
• Develop and update network diagrams, equipment configurations, and installation documentation.
• Support testing of network equipment in laboratory and production environments.
• Apply applicable DISA STIGs and agency network configuration standards.
• Coordinate with agency operations personnel, senior engineers, and telecommunications service providers.
