Job summary

Compass Point, an Akima company, seeks a STEN Systems Administrator to support Hurlburt Field, FL. The role encompasses configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining HW/SW, AD, DNS, WSUS, GPO, and server infrastructure per DoD standards.

Responsibilities include cradle-to-grave workstation support, backups, disaster recovery, and ensuring DISA STIG compliance. A current Secret clearance and Security+ (DoD 8570) are required, with strong Cisco/WAN experience.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer or information science or related field with two years of data center services; or six years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Current certifications IAW DoD 8570.01-M and DoDD 8140.01—Security+ minimum.
• Ability to monitor and troubleshoot Cisco-based WANs and Cisco IOS with VLANs.
• Working knowledge of DISA STIG compliance and HW/SW conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Configure, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve HW/SW and network problems per DoD directives.
• Maintain cybersecurity vulnerability scanning software and remediate findings.
• Administer AD, DNS, WSUS, DHCP, and Group Policy; manage server roles.
• Support cradle-to-grave configuration and maintenance of workstations, devices, and apps.
• Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups.
