Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Mid level Software Engineer to join our team supporting software development on Peterson Space Force Base. This role focuses on developing and maintaining high fidelity missile warning training software and requires strong problem-solving and detailed analysis.

You will work in both unclassified and classified environments, applying engineering best practices, modernizing legacy code, and delivering design documentation, unit tests, and demonstrations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Java, C#, or C++.
• DoD environment experience preferred.
• Active US Secret clearance; must be able to obtain TS; US citizenship.
• Strong Java development experience (Java EE/J2EE, WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss, EJB, JMS, JNDI, RMI, JDBC, multithreading).
• Experience refactoring legacy software applications.
• Experience with REST, gRPC, SpringBoot, messaging.
• Experience with IBM MQ/JMS and Oracle database integration.
• Ability to analyze large legacy codebases and recommend modernization.
• Container development with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsabilidades

• Developing and modernizing legacy missile warning software applications.
• Performing agile software development in unclassified and classified environments with testing and documentation.
• Implementing scalable software using Java, C++, and C#, ensuring maintainability.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to communicate status and estimates.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation (diagrams, data flows, interface specs).
• Interacting with customers to gather requirements and review designs.
• Analyzing requirements to translate into software solutions and system enhancements.
• Participating in all software lifecycle phases: requirements to sustainment.
• Other duties as assigned.
