Job summary

Innovative Concrete, LLC in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Concrete Field Engineer under the DoD Skillbridge program to help transitioning service members enter civilian careers. You will manage technical aspects of concrete projects, ensure specifications are met, and serve as a bridge between project managers and field teams.

The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and attention to detail as you review plans, conduct site inspections, and document materials, labor, and safety

Qualifications

• Must be transitioning military personnel eligible for the DoD Skillbridge program.
• Must receive commanding officer approval to participate.
• Experience with concrete construction and materials is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily operations of concrete projects at various job sites.
• Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments to verify compliance with industry standards.
• Effectively communicate project progress and challenges to team members.
• Prepare project reports, including documentation of materials used, labor costs, and safety compliance.

• Must be transitioning military personnel eligible for the DoD Skillbridge program.
• Must receive commanding officer approval to participate.
• Understanding of constructing principles, particularly in concrete work.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Experience in project management or a related field is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a federal criminal background check and drug screening.
