Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Technical Writer under the DoD SkillBridge program in Greenville, TX. You will gather, compose, and edit technical information to prepare flight and maintenance manuals for warfighters, supporting both government and commercial projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 6+ years of relevant experience.
Experience authoring aircraft technical manuals in MILCERT/DoD environments.
Proficient with Framemaker and technical publication workflows.

Responsibilities

Creates, develops, plans, writes, and edits aircraft technical manuals for operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication using industry standards.
Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users.
Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
