Job summary

Allied Universal in Merrimack, NH is hiring a part-time Security Flex Officer to patrol designated areas, deter security risks, and respond to incidents on a DOD site. You will use our shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts Thursday through Saturday, building a schedule that fits your availability.

Starting pay is $22.72 per hour with paid orientation. A current active DOD Secret clearance or higher and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable security experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed) and adaptable to different posts.
• Reliable and able to operate radio/telephone equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially with the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure proper client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
