Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer Level 2 for on-site support in Clearfield, Utah. The role focuses on interpreting and applying environmental, health, and safety regulations, developing compliant programs, and coordinating with site leadership.

Candidates should have a science degree and relevant experience, with DoD Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Basic communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems by analyzing information from multiple sources.
• DoD Secret clearance required (US citizenship).
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health or occupational safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret existing and proposed EHS regulations to determine applicability and impact on operations.
• Assist with implementation of EHS programs to ensure compliance.
• Partner with site leadership to improve culture, awareness and accountability in EHS.
• Develop and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance and injury prevention.
• Conduct audits, IH sampling, ergonomic assessments and safety inspections.
• Create/update Job Hazards Analyses and PPE recommendations.
• Assist in accident/incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
