Job summary

Avum, Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design cloud solutions, build CI/CD pipelines, and manage container platforms that support secure software delivery. The role focuses on DoD network environments and compliance requirements.

You will architect AWS resources with Terraform, deploy Kubernetes/OpenShift microservices, and implement IaC automation while maintaining strong security controls and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
• CompTIA Security+ and Linux+ certifications.
• AWS certification (SysOps Admin, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer).
• Active Secret clearance (T5 investigation).
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy AWS resources (S3, Transfer Server, QuickSight, CloudWatch, EventBridge) using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Java and Angular microservices (Tekton).
• Deploy and manage containerized microservices in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
• Administer OpenShift platform including maintenance, monitoring, patching, and hardening.
• Utilize security scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities in code, containers, and infrastructure.
• Build secure container images and manage container registry.
• Implement IaC automation using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting tools.
