Job summary

Long Wave Inc. is seeking a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to support DoD programs. You will perform R&M analyses, develop MTBF/MTTR, and work with multiple engineering teams to ensure designs meet performance requirements throughout the lifecycle.

You will derive RMA requirements, support FRACAS, and contribute to design reviews and risk assessments. Strong collaboration and DoD-relevant experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in Reliability and Maintainability engineering or related discipline.
• Experience performing R/M/availability analysis for complex systems.
• Knowledge of MTBF, MTTR, failure rates, availability and FMEA/FMECA.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal and problem-solving skills.
• US Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform R&M analyses to support system design, integration, verification and sustainment.
• Allocate and track RMA requirements to ensure traceability to specs.
• Develop and maintain reliability predictions (MTBF/MTTR) and availability.
• Develop FMECA to identify potential failure modes and impacts.
• Evaluate maintainability/testability, BIT effectiveness, fault isolation and tools.
• Support FRACAS processes by tracking failures and root-cause analysis.
• Assess impacts of design changes on reliability, maintainability and lifecycle support.
• Collaborate with engineering to incorporate R&M into architecture and interfaces.
• Support technical reviews, design reviews and risk assessments.
• Assist basis of estimate (BOE) development and planning for R&M scope.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
