Job summary

The Prototype, Manufacturing and Integration (PMI) Division of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Manager 2 on-site in Madison, AL. The PM2 will coordinate complex DoW projects, manage scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables, and support Program Managers.

Candidates must be US citizens with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Pay ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 annually, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical or business field with 5+ years of experience, or degree waived with 10 years of relevant work.
• 5+ years in project management or contracts supporting DoW or technical programs for scope, cost, and schedule.
• 5+ years’ experience as a DoW contractor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Project.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance from the U.S. Department of War.
• Contract accounting and reporting; cross-functional team leadership; and budgeting.
• Experience tracking fiscal plans, updates, and reporting; managing deliverables to avoid scope creep.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site project management support and coordination for complex contracts and tasks.
• Manage scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure product and process deliverables meet commitments, quality, and client schedules.
• Review SOWs and gather progress and resource information to update action items.
