Job summary

Quantech Services, Inc. in Colorado Springs is seeking a Cost Estimator Associate to join a team of cost analysts and subject matter experts on a variety of DoD programs. You will help develop lifecycle cost estimates and translate data into actionable insights for program managers.

You will analyze historical data, build cost-estimating relationships with regression, and develop risk distributions while collaborating with multiple functional teams to support program budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Cost analysis or quantitative analysis experience (economic analytics or statistics).
• Proficient in analyzing datasets and building statistical models.
• Able to translate data into cost impacts for the government.
• Problem-solving in ambiguous environments with cross-functional conversations.
• Team player capable of handling multiple projects and directions.
• Experience with data science, ML, visualization and BI tools is a plus.
• Experience with Agile Software Development or SWP programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cost analysts and SMEs on diverse projects.
• Develop life cycle cost estimates for DoD weapon system programs.
• Analyze historical data and develop cost estimating relationships via regression.
• Understand technology trends and cost impacts.
• Analyze software program tracking tools (JIRA, MS TFS) and provide metrics.
• Interview specialists to support estimating methodology.
• Develop risk distributions for cost drivers and CERs.
• Analyze program schedules and quantify schedule uncertainty.
• Study and develop metrics for complex software programs.
• Build complex spreadsheet cost models for decision analysis.
• Apply statistics to quantify confidence in budgets and schedules.
• Conduct business case analyses, trade studies, and economic analyses.
• Assist program managers in contract strategies and plans.
