Job summary

The Tatitlek Corporation seeks a Network Systems Technician in Dahlgren, VA to design, deploy, and support the labs infrastructure network, including LAN/WAN, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and security tools. You will evaluate products, plan IA strategies, and maintain network documentation.

Responsibilities include architecture and implementation of IA technologies, CM documentation, occasional travel, and ensuring maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

• Network-level certification (Security+, CCNA) and a minimum of four (4) years of network experience.
• Experience with installation and operation of personal computers and peripherals.
• Experience with Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and protocols: TCP/IP, UDP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBIOS, NetBEUI, SNMP, DECNET.
• DoD 8570 IAT 2 Certification in applicable Networking Computer disciplines is required at hiring and must be maintained.
• Must have or be able to attain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Planning, design, architecture and support for the IWSL's infrastructure network.
• Evaluate products and provide recommendations.
• Planning, design, and implementation of IA strategies and technologies, including encryptors, perimeter and host‑based firewalls, VPNs, IDS, vulnerability assessment, and data analysis tools.
• Maintain documentation related to all internal and external CM processes.
• Provide documentation for all network‑related installations and activations.
• Maintain maintenance posture for all equipment and software to support network operations.
• May require occasional travel.
• Other duties as assigned.
