Job summary

Quantum Sky is seeking a Network Specialist to support the Defense Health Agency LAN/WAN at Altus AFB, OK. You will provide on-site troubleshooting and ensure reliable network services across the medical campus.

Responsibilities include maintaining core and edge switches, routing protocols, and firewall/VPN infrastructure. Active Secret clearance or higher is required; DoD compliance and certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of OSI model layers 1-3 and TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and cabling standards
• Familiar with firewall and VPN technologies
• Strong experience with switches/routers and LAN/WAN troubleshooting
• Knowledge of general security methodologies
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3 years related experience, or completion of a technical cert program with 8 years related experience
• Compliance with DoD Directive 8570.01 Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management
• Security+ CE certification required
• Current CCNA or Juniper/Brocade equivalent desired
• DoD and/or medical network experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides daily operational support for LAN core and edge switches across the medical network campus
• Resolves issues with network and routing protocols across OSI levels
• Supports routing and switching equipment, firewalls, and cabling infrastructure
• Plans, installs, and supports hardware/software upgrades and resolves related issues
