Job summary

Quantum Sky Engineering LLC is seeking a Network Specialist to support the DHA LAN/WAN at Fort Campbell, KY, providing on-site troubleshooting and DoD network service resolution for the medical campus.

Responsibilities include daily operational support for core/edge switches, firewall/VPN familiarity, and upgrading hardware/software; active Secret clearance is required. Compensation ranges around $80,000–$85,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Clear understanding of OSI Model Layers 1-3, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols
• Familiar with firewall and VPN technologies
• Strong experience with switches/routers and troubleshooting LAN/WAN
• Knowledge of general security methodologies
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 3 years related experience or completion of a cert program with 8 years experience
• DoD Directive 8570.01 compliance required
• Security+ CE certification required
• DoD/medical network experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides daily operational support for LAN core and edge switches across the medical network campus
• Resolves network and routing issues at all OSI levels using diagnostic tools
• Supports routing, switching, firewalls, and cabling infrastructure
• Plans, installs, and supports hardware and software upgrades and resolves related issues
