Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator to support a DoD mission in Huntsville, AL. You will build and maintain networks, systems, and applications, collaborating with a team of IT professionals to ensure reliability and security. The role requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance and may involve travel up to 10%.

The position emphasizes configuring networks, managing security, backups, and disaster recovery, with a strong focus on DoD-specific requirements and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic network, hardware, software, and system issues.
• Position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, operate, and support internal and external networks.
• Maintain network, system, application, and security configurations.
• Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
• Install and support network hardware, software, patches, and system updates.
• Recommend upgrades, patches, applications, and equipment to improve system reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to system users.
• Assist with backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Document network configurations, system changes, troubleshooting activities, and procedures.
• Support cybersecurity and configuration-management requirements for the DoD environment.
• Coordinate with other IT personnel to resolve issues.
