Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator to support a DoD customer in Huntsville, AL. The role involves configuring and sustaining networks, systems, and applications while ensuring security and reliability. Occasional travel and security clearance requirements apply.

You will join a skilled IT team, troubleshoot issues, implement patches, backups, and disaster recovery plans, and contribute to DoD-compliant cybersecurity and CM efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic network, hardware, software, and system issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, operate, and support internal and external networks.
• Maintain network, system, application, and security configurations.
• Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Install and support network hardware, software, patches, and system updates.
• Recommend upgrades and patches to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to system users.
• Maintain system backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Document network configurations and troubleshooting activities.
• Support cybersecurity and configuration-management requirements for the DoD environment.
• Coordinate with technical personnel to resolve issues.
