Job summary

S3I Engineering, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support development, integration, testing, and analysis of DoD mission systems and sensors. The role requires independent investigation, advanced troubleshooting, and leadership in test events in government labs and aircraft environments.

You will lead testing efforts, coordinate with government personnel, and guide junior engineers while contributing to mission-critical hardware, software, and systems integration tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with Linux-based troubleshooting, diagnostics, and complex configurations.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570/8140 compliance within 6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, and testing on aircraft and in laboratories to identify deficiencies and provide recommendations.
• Reproduce and analyze field-reported issues, performing root-cause validation.
• Provide input during design reviews and support traceability activities.
• Collaborate with government personnel to deliver reliable solutions.
• Troubleshoot multi-system problems involving sensors, networks, software, and hardware.
• Design and refine test methodologies to ensure consistent performance.
• Prepare detailed field test reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Travel 12–18 weeks per year to support tasking.
