Job summary

Zekiah Technologies, located in Virginia, seeks a Software Developer to join a mission-focused team delivering advanced IT services for DoD programs. The role involves designing quality software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining systems across Windows, Unix, and Linux in a SCIF environment.

Requirements include a minimum of two years in software development, strong debugging skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional technical experience in software development
• Ability to invent new approaches to problems and build innovative applications
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to facilitate fixes and improvements
• Effective communication of ideas to coders, teammates, and management
• Experience working in a team of developers, testers, and CM specialists
• DoD experience is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with Agile development is beneficial
• Willingness to obtain CompTIA Security+ or higher within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
• Design relational databases
• Requirements analysis
• Unit and integration testing
• Verification and validation testing
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
• Document development phases and monitor systems
• Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
