Job summary

ValCorp in Barstow, CA seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead all contract operations supporting DoD logistics. The role oversees receiving, warehousing, inventory, packaging, transportation, and audit sustainment, serving as the primary Government liaison across two locations Nebo and Yermo.

You will manage a large unionized workforce, ensure compliance with PWS and SOPs, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with KO, COR, and transportation partners to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in distribution management or 10+ years in large-scale distribution leadership.
• 3+ years with automated Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) in the last 5 years.
• Experience leading large teams in high-tempo logistics.
• DoD/government logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full operational leadership for contract functions at Nebo and Yermo.
• Serve as central point of contact with the KO, COR, and Government leadership.
• Ensure compliance with PWS, SOPs, audit controls, and regulatory standards.
• Lead supervisors and managers to achieve performance metrics and APLs.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and workforce development.
• Drive continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and internal control adherence.
• Maintain readiness for surge, emergency requisitions, and on-call support.
• Coordinate with Government stakeholders and transportation partners.
