Job summary

Brandes Associates, Inc. seeks a Logistician with 3+ years of DoD logistics experience to support the logistics workflow and sustainment of deployable products for a NAVSUP-aligned program at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA.

The role focuses on materials planning, lifecycle logistics, and coordination with engineering, maintenance, supply and program management to enhance operational availability. A BS/BA in logistics or related field and an active DoD Secret Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–10 years of logistics or DoD acquisition logistics experience.
• Experience supporting large-value material inventories and cross-functional teams.
• Strong DoD regulatory and NAVSUP process knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; self-starter and independent worker.
• Proven vendor management, procurement collaboration, and lifecycle logistics skills.

Responsibilities

• Support logistics and supply chain management for defense programs including maintenance planning, material support, supplier coordination, and process improvement.
• Sustain lifecycle logistics, mitigate supplier risk, and enhance item readiness.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, supply, and program management to address sustainment risks.
• Support procurement activities, vendor performance, and DoD compliance (FAR/DFARS).
• Verify procedures, maintenance docs, and training materials for end users.
• Draft reports and metrics for leadership and strategic sourcing.
• Perform inventory audits and spares provisioning, and oversee item transport.
• Contribute to Lean and CI initiatives.

Education

BS/BA in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field

6+ years substitute for degree
