Job summary

Amentum is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to deliver enterprise IT, network, and systems support for US PACOM in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. The role involves hands-on administration of DoD information systems in a classified environment, troubleshooting issues, implementing security requirements, and coordinating with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.

The candidate will maintain system documentation, assist with incident response, and provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional IT experience in systems/network administration.
• Active DoD 8140-related certification (Security+, CCNA, CySA+, etc.).
• Experience with Windows and other operating systems.
• Strong documentation and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a classified DoD environment and obtain TS/SI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain DoD enterprise IT systems, networks, and servers.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and other OS.
• Support LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, AD, virtualization, and storage.
• Diagnose hardware, software, and network issues.
• Perform configuration, patching, backups, and recovery.
• Support cybersecurity requirements and system hardening.
• Maintain technical documentation and diagrams.
• Monitor performance and security, coordinate with teams.
• Provide after-hours, on-call support as needed.
• Participate in incident response and change management.
