Job Description:

Background:The Pharmacy Support Contract Plus (POSC+) provides program management and administrative support to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Pharmacy Operations Division (POD). The POD provides policy guidance and coordinates the Department of Defense (DoD) pharmacy policy with the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs and the individual uniform services through the Pharmacy Enterprise Support Activity. The POD is responsible for management of the TRICARE Pharmacy Benefits Program which offers pharmacy services to 9.6 million DoD eligible beneficiaries.

Position Summary:The contractor shall support the TRICARE Pharmacy (TPharm) program, which provides various pharmacy benefits management functions, such as, claims adjudication, administering a retail pharmacy network, operating mail order pharmacy.

Essential Job Functions:
  • The contractor shall assist with development and management of contract documents, including requirements, modifications, correspondence, market research, and cost estimates. This includes the maintenance of tracking logs and maintain electronic records in accordance with policies and practices.
  • The contractor shall coordinate and facilitate meetings, develop documents, support audit process, and perform technical troubleshooting activities in support of the pharmacy benefit and contract. Contacts include third party business partners, DHA Communications, and Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC)
  • The contractor shall assist in documenting and tracking open issues and metrics for government review and approval.
  • The contractor shall manage group distribution lists, mailboxes, and calendars.
  • The contractor shall coordinate andattend work group meetings, capture and distribute meeting documentation.
  • The contractor shall assist in preparationof information papers, briefings, presentation, and other documents related to the pharmacy benefit and contract.
  • The contractor shall assist the government in overseeing, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of technical and clinical documents, including the benefit design and drug lists.
  • The contractor shall utilize manual and electronic tools for day-to-day task activities.
  • The contractor shall assist with the replenishment process and reconciliation of replenishment orders with dispensed medication, including complex data analysis.
Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least one year experience in writing requests for information, requests for proposals and statements of work
Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • Knowledgeable of military and/or civilian pharmacy workflow
  • Familiarity with federal contracting guidelines and procedures and Military Health System (MHS) civilian and military pharmacy practice
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio
Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and transition between projects
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in teams

Other Responsibilities:
  • Standard Monday through Friday day schedule, but may travel and/or work weekends and extended hours if needed with approval of program manager and government leads
