Job summary

ANSER is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the IBAS program under the IBP office. The role involves financial management, budget execution, and analytical work to sustain the defense industrial base and critical supply chains.

Location options include Arlington, VA, Alexandria, VA, or telework within the National Capital Region. Ideal candidates have a Secret clearance, 7+ years in DoD financial management, and strong Excel/data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• 7+ years of financial management experience, including DoD systems.
• Experience initiating and processing MIPRs.
• Experience supporting RDT&E two-year appropriations.
• 2+ years with 7600A/7600B Support Agreements.
• Knowledge of DoD financial regulations and budget execution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Must reside within the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process budget execution documentation, including PRs and MIPRs.
• Monitor and analyze program budget execution, commitments, obligations, expenditures, and funding status.
• Develop and maintain financial spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, and status briefings for program leadership.
• Assist with spend plans, expenditure plans, and financial forecasts.
• Perform funds reconciliation and support DAR-Q.
• Lead financial meetings to review execution data and funding status.
• Apply DoD financial management regulations, policies, procedures, and budget principles.
• Support all phases of the PPBE process.
• Prepare funding forecasts, execution analyses, and expenditure reports for senior leadership.
• Contribute to program and budget submissions (Mid-Year Reviews, POM inputs, etc.).
• Respond to financial taskings from Comptroller and others.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve budget execution.
