Job summary

MIKEL seeks a Financial Analyst in Middletown, RI to provide contract and program level financial tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The role supports Navy-focused programs in a small, woman-owned business environment, emphasizing accuracy and compliance with DoD procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience in government budgeting and cost analysis, strong communication skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Start ASAP preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with budgeting, accounting applications and cost analysis in a Government environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide contract and program level financial and administrative tracking and analysis for various programs.
• Provide financial planning, cost estimating, budget preparation, forecasting, labor planning and expenditure tracking and control.
• Provide financial and technical status reporting to internal and external customers.
• Review budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and objectives.
• Track expenditures charged to projects monthly and yearly.
• Monitor funding documents and modifications.
• Assist management in monitoring contract performance and funding.
• Prepare financial reports and funding projections as requested.
• Correspond with employees regarding charge codes and contract activity.
