Job summary

Saronic Technologies in Austin, TX, seeks a Contracts Manager to oversee DoD and federal contracts, collaborating with Programs, Finance, Legal, Proposals, and Growth to ensure compliant, risk-aware contract execution across the lifecycle.

You will manage a portfolio of contracts, lead contracting strategy, interpret regulatory requirements (FAR/DFARS/OTAs), and serve as the primary interface with government customers and contracting officers; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Master’s or MBA is a plus.
• 5+ years of contract management experience in a defense/federal contracting environment or DoD experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of contract types and federal acquisition regulations.
• Proven track record of negotiation, administration, modification, and close-out on multi-year DoD/federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full contract lifecycle for DoD/federal contracts including pre-award review, negotiation, award, modifications, performance monitoring, and close-out.
• Interpret, review, and negotiate complex contract terms and conditions with FAR/DFARS and other federal procurement regulations.
• Provide strategic contract advice and risk mitigation guidance to program leadership and BD teams, ensuring terms align with strategy and compliance.
• Serve as the primary interface with government customers and Contracting/Agreement Officers.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance: track deliverables, milestones, cost and schedule performance, change orders, invoices, and acceptance/quality requirements; identify issues or noncompliance.
• Assist in business development by supporting capture teams with contract strategy, pricing considerations, terms and conditions review, proposal input and risk assessment.
• Maintain awareness of changes in procurement regulations and recommend updates to contracting policies.
