Job summary

The Carpenter, Maintenance at TACOM (RRAD) is a contingency position working under KBR to provide maintenance, repair, and sustainment support for facilities, equipment, and logistics. The role involves general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs as assigned and may require operating government or commercial vehicles.

This position is contingent upon award and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–4 years of maintenance experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or related work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate government or commercial vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Ability to perform general labor and maintenance tasks in a safe and effective manner.
• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety standards.
• Ability to perform work in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required).
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of buildings, work sites, and equipment.
• Operate motor vehicles to transport materials, tools, equipment, and personnel.
• Load, unload, and move materials to support maintenance and logistics operations.
• Perform inspections of work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle use as required.
• Support facility upkeep including cleaning, painting, and general labor tasks.
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on work assignments.
• Support inspections, audits, and government reviews as required.
