Job summary

The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) invites a postdoctoral fellow to join SERDP and ESTCP to advance DoD RDT&E across remediation, energy systems and more. You will perform rigorous data analysis and cross‑project synthesis, identify critical gaps, and help determine future research priorities.

You will develop empirical visualizations and technical evaluations for leadership decisions. Location is Alexandria, VA with occasional travel to meetings.

Qualifications

• The qualified candidate will hold a Ph.D. in an eligible STEM discipline and must have completed or be completing by Dec 31, 2026.
• Experience performing rigorous data analysis and synthesis across projects is preferred.
• Ability to author peer‑reviewed manuscripts and develop data visualizations for leadership decisions is desired.

Responsibilities

• Engage with a DoD organization to advance RDT&E of scalable technologies.
• Conduct rigorous data analysis and cross‑project data synthesis under a scientific mentor.
• Synthesize findings into technical evaluations and author manuscripts.
