Job summary

TekSynap is seeking a Network Engineer - Intermediate to support NETCOM duties at Fort Bragg, NC. The engineer will configure and validate CSfC solutions to meet DoD requirements and support installation on-site in customer environments.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Active IAT II certification required.
• Active Professional Networking certification (e.g., CCNA) required.
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering preferred.
• BA/BS degree (or higher) required; AA degree acceptable with extended experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect CSfC-compliant solutions meeting NSA/DoD requirements.
• Develop/modify system scripts as needed.
• Create configuration guides, test procedures, results, and training materials.
• Provide onsite training on daily use, management, and troubleshooting of installed solutions.
• Support all Cross-Domain solution requirements.
• Collaborate with operations teams to design approved infrastructure.
• Serve as escalation contact during outages for Tier 2/3 systems.
• Author network design packages with implementation plans and procedures.
• Configure network, software and hardware to meet NSA CSfC/NIAP/DoD requirements.
• Perform network design and systems integration.
• Develop, implement, test and maintain complex secure telecom networks.
• Configure/manage PKI CAs for CSfC solutions.
• Configure certificate authorities (ISC CertAgent/Windows/Red Hat).
• Configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN gateways, wireless controllers from multiple vendors.
• Document configurations, test procedures and results; prepare training materials.
• Provide on-site customer training on solution use and troubleshooting.
• Oversee contractors and vendors during implementation.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support within the technical team.
• Recommend hardware and support solutions based on new tech research.
• Provide technical guidance to sales engineering teams.
• Act as Systems Integrator for DoD contracts.
• Enhance department reputation by ownership and adding value.
• Apply DoD STIGs and IAVAs.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
