Job summary

CAC I Contracting Specialist position on JBSA seeks an experienced professional to provide full lifecycle contracting support, from planning through closeout, in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment. The role emphasizes compliance, accuracy, and collaboration with multiple teams across the acquisition lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a limited warrant of at least $1M, with strong writing skills and knowledge of FAR Parts.

Qualifications

• Active, current DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• More than five (5) years of contracting experience.
• Experience exercising a limited contracting officer warrant of no less than $1M.
• Proficiency in basic contracting support skills: Acquisition planning; Milestone development; Cradle‑to‑grave contracting; FAR Parts 6, 10, 11, 16, 31, 33, 37; Cost contracts.
• Professional, polished writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end acquisition activities from planning to closeout.
• Support contract formation, administration, and closeout.
• Draft and maintain acquisition and contract documents.
• Conduct cost/price analysis and prepare determinations, justifications, synopses, solicitations, and price memo.
• Review contractor proposals and document evaluation findings.
• Assist in cradle‑to‑grave contract administration and closeout activities.
• Collaborate with contract officers, CORs, program managers, security, budget analysts, and engineers.
• Support milestone development and ensure adherence to timelines.
