Job summary

HireVenture seeks an experienced DoD Construction Project Manager to join its Tampa, FL team. The role oversees complex DoD and federal construction projects from planning through closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to DoD requirements.

The ideal candidate has direct DoD project experience, strong leadership and risk-management skills, and is on-site in Tampa with travel as needed. A related degree and PM certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction project management experience.
• Direct, hands-on experience delivering DoD construction projects is required.
• Strong understanding of DoD construction processes including bidding, awards, submittals, compliance, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of DoD construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee schedules, budgets, cost controls, forecasts, procurement, and performance.
• Prepare and manage government submittals for review and approval.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, and contract documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, and internal teams for timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with DoD and federal contracting requirements and codes.
• Work with government representatives and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
