Job summary

The JAAW Group LLC is seeking a Security Engineer to support DoD systems at Hill Air Force Base. You will architect, deploy, and maintain cybersecurity solutions aligned with RMF, JSIG, and related security requirements.

Collaborate with ISSOs, DevOps, and platform teams to strengthen security posture, automate processes, and ensure secure cloud and on-prem architectures across AWS and Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in security engineering.
• Hands-on Splunk Enterprise administration and data correlation.
• Strong Windows and Linux administration and system hardening.
• Experience with RMF and JSIG accreditation processes.
• Experience with cloud security in AWS/Azure and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Support, administer, and maintain cybersecurity tools and platforms.
• Administer Splunk Enterprise dashboards, alerts, and data onboarding.
• Support vulnerability management using Nessus/ACAS and compliance tools.
• Develop and automate security processes with Ansible, Terraform, and scripting.
• Develop security detections, telemetry, and incident response capabilities.
• Architect and deploy vulnerability management, logging, and patching.
• Engineer security requirements for AWS and Azure in RMF/JSIG contexts.
• Improve system security with access controls and hardening.
• Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO on RMF authorization activities.
